2nd/3rd Line .NET & Java Application Support

We are looking for a 2nd/3rd Line support person, with commercial experience or at least knowledge of .NET and Java to be able to support and fix the existing and legacy applications which are run in both languages.
You will be involved in all stages of the application lifecycle, providing support and developing the software.
This role may will initially be home based, but will be office based after the effects of COVID-19 are eliminated.

Responsibilities
• Supporting and developing custom systems for clients, built to their exact specifications. These web solutions are built on both the Microsoft technology stack (.NET, SQL Server) and Java Spring framework.
• Provide 2nd/3rd line support on existing in-house developed, and inherited legacy, applications.
• You will be involved in all stages of the application lifecycle, providing support and developing the software.
• System design and development, as well as testing and deployment
• Development and administration of supporting databases as required.
• Performing an active role in meetings/discussions relating to any on-going projects or support.

Experience
• 3-4 years’ experience in 2nd/3rd Line Support roles
• Exposure to Microsoft .NET and Java development
• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Practical experience in MS SQL/Oracle
• Ability to work both individually, and as part of a team
• Good problem solver
• Communicating resolutions to problems
• Willingness to help others.
• An aptitude for learning new technologies quickly
• Able to have discussions with other staff, contractors, and non-technical users.

Desirable
• Further development skillset: JQuery, React or VueJS
• ASP.Net MVC
• Bootstrap
