Working alongside the in-house development team to develop and maintain bespoke software systems. You will be a self-starter who is motivated by owning their work and seeing things through to delivery.

We need someone who is self-sufficient but also happy to work with others, but above all, we need the right personality fit within our team. You will be communicating directly with end-users to achieve the best possible results for features and projects that improve user experience.

Key Responsibilities

● Develop new systems and features to the specification and timeframe
● Scope out new functionality, create specifications and estimates
● Use best practices, strive for high quality, well-tested code
● Migrate legacy code to a microservice architecture, maintaining backward compatibility and availability
● Actively seek to improve processes, workflows and technologies
● Review pull requests occasionally
● Understanding of the crossover between business goals and development goals
● Excellent communication skills
● Attention to detail

Skills / Experience

Essential

● PHP 7, MySQL
● Object-oriented programming
● MVC frameworks - (views to move to Laravel)
● Reactive JavaScript frameworks - they use Vue.js
● Development of RESTful JSON APIs
● Git
● Excellent logic and problem solving
● 3+ years of experience in relevant roles

Nice to Have

● Google Cloud
● Docker
● Excellent logic and problem solving
● Experience working with eCommerce platforms
● Experience working in a team of developers
● Knowledge of Continuous Integration techniques
● Examples of code & projects completed
