Product Owner / Project Manager

Our client, a nationwide regulatory committee, is currently looking to hire a Product Owner/Project Manager to spearhead the business' software development drive, liaise with colleagues, and ensure that the team has a firm grasp of market sectors, the customers, and product direction. The company itself has been active for several decades, and is relied upon by thousands of companies throughout the UK. In the role, you will be able to make a meaningful impact upon the product direction and will be instrumental in its success. As this role is in their software development team, successful candidates must have relevant experience delivering the following responsibilities in a software development environment.

Responsibilities:
- To develop a complete understanding of the business, its market sectors, and the customers they serve.
- To make well-informed decisions regarding product features and direction.
- Work alongside the technical director in order to deliver product vision, prototypes, and project scope/deliverables.
- Devise and maintain product documentation, as well as any supporting material if required.
- Ensure all projects are delivered in a timely manner, and to budget constraints.
- Communicate with project stakeholders, and to publish reports to be given to these individuals.


Key Skills:
- You must have a sound background in a Product Owner/Business Analyst role, within software development.
- Experience with Agile software development.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to translate and deliver technical requirements in a clear manner.
- A high degree of attention to detail.

Additional Skills:
- Excellent technical and non-technical communication skills.
- Strong relationship-building skills, especially with clients, sponsors and stakeholders.
