One of our valued clients, a software house operating in the finance sector, is currently looking to take on an Application Support Analyst to help in supporting the company's bespoke software. The client operates nationwide, and they are relied upon by businesses of all sizes in order to carry out their operations. The purpose of the role is to support the Client Services team within the company in problem identification and incident resolution, and as such is crucial in ensuring client satisfaction and product success. Though not a technical development role, the ideal candidate would have an understanding of development processes gained either through related studies, or previous work experience.

Responsibilities:
- Aiding in the identification, logging and debugging of software faults.
- Resolution of issues caused by application functionality misuse.
- Keeping clients abreast of progress and resolution of issues, as well as ensuring problem logs are kept up-to-date.
- Keeping on top of technical admin and housekeeping.
- Active collaboration with fellow members of the team, as well as with other teams within the company.

Key Skills and Experience:
- You must be a keen, confident and professional speaker, able to deal with queries and technical information with ease. This will be a core skill of the role, around which everything else is based.
- Confident knowledge of Microsoft Office is essential for the role.
- You must be able to remain friendly, business-like and helpful with both internal and external contacts.
- A strong, client-focused mindset is key for success within the role.
- You will be a well-organised, resilient, flexible member of the team, capable of logical thinking and excellent attention to detail.

Additional Skills:
- BA level degree in Comp Sci, or a similar/related degree.
- At least a basic knowledge of SQL.
- Financial services/FInTech experience.
- Awareness of IT trends.
