Operations Director - Software , Project Management, Pre Post Sales, Infrastructure, Cloud
This is a part remote role but you will be required to work in the office 2/3 days per week
Due to an internal promotion this company are looking to recruit an Operations Director to work with the existing team . The successful candidate will report to and work alongside the Managing Director in a team of three Executive Directors
The Operations Director will be commercially focused, with an IT background and experience of the management of day-to-day operations in a customer focused role, preferably, but not exclusively, within the technological sector.
Your job will be split between technology (30%), operations (50%) and commercial (20%) Technology * Responsible for the server and storage hardware management team * Working with a busy IT Helpdesk.
Operations * Helping to develop software products to meet strategic and commercial objectives. * Responsible for implementation and support functions through product specialist and technical services teams. * Project management and process improvement. * In conjunction with the Managing Director and Senior Management team, Strategy development and business planning. * Primary point of escalation with all customers.
Commercial * Production and review of all sales contracts. * Support the Managing Director in negotiating new contracts and existing contract extensions. * Approval of sales quotations, before final Managing Director review. * Ensure robust cost management with third party suppliers.
The ideal person * Currently holding an Operations Manager role or similar working in a technology software house * Experience of Cloud Migration project management * 10 + years commercial experience * Solid people management experience and people skills * Organised with ability to prioritise and manage time effectively. * Good analytical and effective decision-making skills. * Ability to communicate clearly and present information effectively. * Excellent face to face client skills * Strong negotiator with ability to demonstrate a persuasive case. * Ability to ‘challenge the norm’ effectively. * Effective project management skills. * Strong leadership and people management skills.
